However, the guys in his anger management class and his ex-girlfriend Caitlin know differently. Nick doesn’t believe he did anything wrong, but he faces a reality check with not only operating under the terms of the restraining order, brdathing also having to attend anger management classes, and adhere to community service. That makes me furious as a young woman reading this book, but by the end of the book i feel sympathetic towards him because he realized what he did.
As the book went on, I realized I related to Nic For Christmas, a ton of good books weren’t really on my list but fortunately, a family member disregarded my wishes and bought me a dozen best selling books.
In fact, I didn’t really even feel the message of the book until I read my friends review. I think that this is a book that teens can relate with, not just on the level of real issues within the life of a teen, but also providing insight into how real and frightening relationship abuse can be.
The thing is, Nick doesn’t see it that way, at least not at first. I guess I must have nodded or something because, from that point on, every poem I ever wrote in school was submitted to Highlights or Cricket magazine.
This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. Caitlin is everything Nick has ever wanted—beautiful, talented, and in love with him. It wasn’t his fault that he grew up to be like that, it was his father’s. Sep 10, Reagan rated it it was amazing.

It was such a new kind of underwatrr. I really enjoyed this book, but it was quite difficult to read. I just reread this one on audio, and wow.
