Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger

Bette is reasonably sympathetic, and the reader can see how she’s sucked into a vortex of superficiality. Definitely a fun chick lit read!

I was so disappointed. More books from this author: But when Bette begins appearing in a vicious new gossip column, she realizes that the line between her personal and professional life is And let me just add that he was also her best friend and one of her biggest supporters.

Refresh and try again. Be more realistic please, and original?

Well, this book is on the edge of not having been reviewed at all. Admittedly, though, I raced through, and largely skim-read, it just to get to the end, and onto a better novel, quickly.

I feel like I need to give this review in the context of its predecessor “The Devil Wears Prada,” which was good. Weisberger’s book definitely accomplished that for me.

Just ask me to wait and I will, knowinf me to understand that things will be difficult but that when this period is over, we’ll be happy and in love and together. She idealized him and their relationship so much that it clouded her better judgment. I do recommend Everyone Worth Knowing to any woman looking for a fun, refreshing read that won’t make you feel like you’re lowering your literary standards in the process.

Bette’s situations and life as a whole, transported me to another world. The bottom line for me is that the book functions well as a satire of the fact that human beings value connections with other humans.

Try it yourself is the only sensible conclusion here. On the same night she meets Philip who is a babe in evreyone celebrity world The world think they are dating but they are not Abby an old school friend who Bette hates might I add is secretly the owner of the Ellie insider Column that has been writing loads of crap about Philip and Bette.

If you thought Devil Wears Prada was insipid, wait until you read this vomitous waste of valuable wood pulp, time, eyestrain weisberber anxiety the latter due to agitated anticipation of the novel’s anticlimactic denouement. Please stop with the dreaded respect line. The novel was published inso all the references to everjone, celebrity couples none are still together and hotspots Bungalow 8 – does anyone still go there? Because after trying and failing to let us wonder what was going on with Philip, thing that was supposedly a very important weisbergee of this bookthe author doesn’t give us nothing on what happened next with the guy, were there consequences of that “confession”.

The story is very predictable and, as a result, boring. It was shallow and wdisberger very dull.

This is chick lit, but for someone who doesn’t really have a brain cell in their head at all. I’d say that after years in the USA a typical …more I haven’t read it in a while, but I remember it has some adult scenes that aren’t very graphic.

One day, after a particularly condescending exchange with her boss who sends her daily inspirational e-mailsBette walks out on her job in a huff. I kept reading only because I thought and hoped for the love story to swap me off my feat. The story is an easy read which allows for a large circle of readership as there is no complex message that the author attempts to deliver other then the realization that many people face a few times throughout life; which is that sometimes the life that you envy others for having is severely lacking in a sense of who you as a person are.
