I find the first two essays illuminating, but the 3rd essay on ascetic ideals seems such a tangent, I could have done without. He goes on to say that men of ressentiment do not act on revenge, but act in justice, or perhaps it is better to say they disguise justice as revenge. Nietzsche sees it as the expression of a weak, sick will. Overall though I thought it was interesting but disagreed with kind of a lot of it. The only constant is that we, and everything else, are constantly striving for more power, and the only constant virtue is a will that is powerful, and free from bad conscience, hatred, and ressentiment.

Those who are part of the nobility see themselves as good because who doesn’t like seeing themselves as good? Aceasta mica scriere e o mare declaratie de razboi.
