The storytelling was vibrant. This is probably one of my favorite books.
These literally tear the Vampire King apart and the Vampires return to The-Land-of-the-Ghostsfor his funeral rights, led by the mourning Vampire Queen. But, as ivemark who has slogged through Tolkien and who has a literary soft spot for brash girls, neither of those really bother me.
Some of the parallels made me groan, but not for long.
